Went to my first ever Carlisle Trunk Show and this is what I found! I'm wearing them bare legs, but will soon get on some textured tights and fabulous boots. I was really impressed with their quality... light weight Italian wool, high waist and pockets (which I'll keep stitched closed) The smokey grey turlteneck on the Left is also Carlisle, as is the camel belt on the Right.
This fringe skirt is so playful, so sexy, so now! It shows a little bit of leg and a whole lot of movement. Leather fringe skirts are fab year 'round! They look striking next to bare legs and platform heels as seen here in Carlisle leather ($995). Or wear it au naturale, barefoot in the park! The Zara faux version, on the far left, retails for $69.90 and looks very real. Speaking of which, some people consider anything other than real material as less than valid. I simply don't agree. There's a place for both. Maybe you're a vegetarian and don't believe in wearing animal skins. Or you're on a tight budget. Perhaps you like the look but don't want to invest a lot of money in a current trend. Whatever the reason, it's wonderful to have both options as these fringe skirts show us!
A stunningly beautiful and fun evening at Nordstrom's Fall Designer Preview. I've never seen so many well dressed people in one place in Seattle! Everyone--from the models to the audience--was fashionable and put together. Boots were stepping out with everything. They're the best part about the weather changing -- an excuse to wear boots! Looks like the iPhone is a "must have" accessory this fall.
